How to use percent-based programming

Want to program workouts based on a client’s 1-rep max (1RM)? You can easily do that inside Superset Sheets.

How to Add Percentages

  1. In the Weight column, enter a percentage (e.g. 70%) or a range (e.g. 70-80%).

  2. You can also click into the weight cell and use the dropdown menu to choose % inputs.

  3. That’s it! Continue building the rest of your workout as usual.

Coach Notes

  • You can use:

    • Single percentages: 70%

    • Ranges: 70-80%

    • Comma-separated progressions: 70%, 80%, 90%

    • Layered ranges: 70-80%, 80-90%, 90-95%

  • Your client will be prompted to input their 1RM the first time they see a percent-based workout. Superset will automatically calculate target weights from that number.

  • You or your client can update their 1RM anytime by tapping into the exercise history view inside the app.
