The Notes tab keeps a dated log on each client profile, so something a client told you three months ago is still there when you need it.
This is not the same as workout notes or exercise notes, which live on the program itself. For those, see How to add notes to a workout.
Follow these steps
Open a client from Clients.
Go to the Notes tab.
Write in the box at the top. Use the toolbar for bold, italic, lists, quotes, and links.
Click Add note.
The note is stamped with the date and grouped under Today.
💡 Tip: You can also reach the journal from the Notes card in the client sidebar with See all, or from a check-in with View client notes.
Notes & best practices
Pin what you keep returning to. Hover a note and click the pin. Pinned notes collect under Pinned at the top of the journal. Unpin and the note drops back into its day.
Edit in place. Click a note to edit it and it saves when you click away. An edited note is marked (edited) so you can tell it changed.
Deleting is permanent. Superset asks you to confirm, and the note cannot be recovered afterward.
The sidebar field and the journal are two different things. The Notes card in the sidebar stays a quick scratch pad. The journal is the dated history. Writing in one does not change the other.
Team members see their own roster. On a team account, a coach sees notes for the clients at their location, not the whole account's.
Older entries load on demand. Scroll to the bottom of the journal and click Load older notes.

The sidebar box is one free-form field you overwrite as you like. The journal is an append-only history where each entry keeps its own date. Use the sidebar for standing reminders and the journal for what happened on a given day.
