Discounts let you take a percentage off a one-time offer at checkout. Use them for launch pricing, win-backs, or a one-off deal for a specific client.
Getting discounts turned on
Discounts are enabled by the Superset team. Email [email protected] and ask to have them turned on for your account. Once enabled, you'll find them under Plans > Discounts.
Creating a discount
Open Plans and go to Discounts.
Choose Create a discount.
Give the discount a name. This is what appears on the offer, so make it something a client will understand.
Set the Discount %.
Save. The discount is now available to apply to one-time offers at checkout.
Notes & best practices
Discounts are percentage-based and apply to one-time offers. They aren't a recurring subscription discount.
There's an approval threshold. Above a set percentage, a discount needs an admin or director to approve it. If you're a manager and hit that limit, you'll see a discount request rather than an immediate discount.
The discount name and the percentage both show on the offer the client sees, so avoid internal shorthand.
Archive discounts you no longer offer instead of deleting them, so past offers keep their history.
