How to program RIR

Superset Sheets lets you program workouts using RIR (Reps in Reserve) with flexible options for fixed, ranged, or per-set values

Turn on the RIR column

  1. Open a program in Superset Sheets.

  2. From the left-side menu, go to Settings.

  3. In Columns, toggle on Effort.

Add RIR values

  1. Go to the RIR column in your sheet.

  2. Enter one of the following formats:

  • Fixed RIR β†’ Apply the same value across all sets. Example: 3

  • RIR range β†’ Enter a range for flexibility. Example: 1-3

  • Comma-separated RIR β†’ Apply different effort per set. Example: 3, 2, 1

πŸ’‘ Tip: Use ranges for flexibility, and comma-separated values when you want progressive effort across sets.
