How to hide the built-in Superset exercise library

Show only your own exercises when building programs, by hiding Superset's built-in library from search and creation

Written by Agatha Beise

If you've built your own exercise library, Superset's built-in one can get in the way. Your coaches search for a movement and see both versions, and the wrong one ends up in the program.

You can hide the built-in library so only your own exercises appear.

Where it applies

Hiding the built-in library removes it from every place you'd discover or pick an exercise:

  • Workout and program creation

  • Exercise search

  • The Library page

Notes & best practices

  • Programs you've already saved are unaffected. If a saved program uses a built-in exercise, it keeps working exactly as before. This only changes what's offered when you're building something new.

  • Build out your own library first. Hiding the built-in one before you've covered your common movements leaves your coaches with gaps.

  • Best for organisations with a house exercise standard — specific names, cues, or video that must match across coaches.

  • You can turn it back on at any time. The built-in exercises reappear in search straight away.

FAQ

Will this break my existing programs?

No. Exercises already used in saved programs are unaffected.

Can my clients still see their assigned exercises?

Yes. Anything already assigned continues to work normally in their app.

Is this per coach or per account?

It's a setting on your account, so it applies to the exercise picker your team sees.

Can I turn it back on?

Yes, at any time. The built-in library reappears in search and on the Library page.
